Chile lleva 60 días de protestas diarias en sus calles y el gobierno solo responde con represión. Cerca de 300 personas han perdido uno o ambos ojos en manos de la fuerza pública, se cuentan miles de heridos con lacrimógenas disparadas a quemarropa y otros tantos quemados con el agua del carro lanza agua que contendría soda cáustica. Pero la gente sigue saliendo de sus casas, sigue exigiendo un país más justo, ante los oídos sordos de las autoridades.
Chile has 60 days of daily protests in the streets and the government only responds with repression. Nearly 300 people have lost one or both eyes in the hands of the public force, are thousands of wounded with tear gas fired at close range and direct to the people, and many others burned with water from the water cannon that would contain acid. But people keep leaving their homes, still demanding a fairer country, in spite of deaf ears of the authorities.
